Description
PRINCE2® Programme Management (MSP®) Foundation
Programme Management provides a structured approach to delivering strategic change. It brings together people, projects, resources, and information to achieve organisational objectives that cannot be delivered through individual projects alone.
A programme is a coordinated group of related projects and activities that work together to deliver measurable business benefits. Rather than focusing on a single outcome, programmes are designed to achieve broader strategic goals, such as improving business performance, transforming services, implementing organisational change, or delivering long-term value.
While each project within a programme delivers its own specific outputs, Programme Management ensures these projects are aligned, coordinated, and managed as a single integrated initiative. This enables organisations to maximise benefits, manage dependencies, control risks, and ensure that every project contributes to the overall strategic vision.
Without effective Programme Management, individual projects may still achieve their objectives, but opportunities for integration, efficiency, and strategic benefit can easily be lost. By coordinating projects under a common governance framework, organisations are better equipped to deliver successful transformation and realise lasting business value.v
